After a hard workout the muscle soreness starts to kick in. After a couple of days of feeling sore your workouts are effected, your mood changes and your motivation to keep working out slowly dies. I have found a way around being sore for long periods of time. A little soreness is normal but how do you heal faster?

Heal faster so you can keep working hard towards your goal. OH YEAH! It's true. You don't have to suffer with stiff muscles and limping around the house. I will share some tricks and some special things I do to help my recovery time.

1. Arnica Montana
  • Temporarily relieves muscle pain and stiffness due to minor injuries, overexertion and falls
  • Reduces swelling and discoloration from bruises
Directions:
  • Adults and children 6 years of age and older: At the onset of symptoms, dissolve 2 tablets in the mouth and repeat every hour for 2 more hours. Then, dissolve 2 tablets in the mouth every 6 hours until symptoms are relieved.
  • Children 2 to 6 years of age: Dissolve 2 tablets in 1 tablespoon of water for easier intake. Follow directions above.
To help your body feel better faster from muscle pain and stiffness, choose Arnicare. Arnicare relieves your aches and pain while assisting the body’s natural healing process. Powerful relief means you can feel better faster and keep doing. And because Arnicare can be taken or applied before physical activity or surgery, you can stay ahead of your pain. This approach lets you control your pain and avoid the use of harsh pain medicines. Doctors and surgeons use Arnicare with confidence, knowing it is produced according to drug Good Manufacturing Practices. Arnicare is natural and safe for everyone when used as directed, and that is especially important to doctors. They know there is no risk of drug interactions or complications when using Arnicare, which is particularly important after trauma or surgery when diminishing pain, swelling and bruising are essential.
 2. Stretch
Stretch after all workouts. Stretching promotes blood flow to tired muscles and helps deliver the essential nutrients needed to repair damaged tissue.

Massage Balls: These balls are awesome. I was looking for the exact one I have but didn't find it on Amazon. I will keep looking but I have some just like these and they relieve all my sore muscles in my neck, shoulders, chest, arms, legs... you name it.

3. Amino Acids
Give you body the nutrients it needs to rebuild damaged muscles. Amino acids are the building blocks of muscle cells and are found in protein sources such as lean meats, poultry and fish. Nutritional supplements such as multivitamin and mineral formulations are also a valuable source of essential nutrients that aid in muscle recovery.

4. Ice
Ice sore muscles to reduce swelling. Damaged muscle tissue often swells with fluid after intense physical activity. Apply ice, 20 minutes on and then 20 minutes off, to reduce muscle swelling and soreness.
